About Tempo

Tempo is a Discord bot that handles the administrative side of running a sports league — team assignments, drafts, a points economy, upgrade approvals and league communication. It runs entirely inside your Discord server. There is no separate website your members have to sign into.

Tempo Football supports College Football and Madden online and dynasty leagues, and is available today. You choose which one at setup.

Tempo Hoops supports NBA 2K online leagues and is in development.

Not yet. Hoops is in development, so there is nothing to install, nothing to sign up for and nothing to pay. The Hoops page shows the planned feature set so you can see where it is heading.

Everything you can buy today is Tempo Football.

They share the same setup, permissions and commissioner tools, but the features are built for different sports. Football is organized around a season: schedules, Game of the Week, rivalries and attribute upgrades. Hoops is organized around a 2K league: the lottery, the trade block, trade committee voting, and badge upgrades alongside attributes.

You pick one per server. They are not meant to be run together.

No. Only the person adding Tempo to the server does anything. Everyone else uses slash commands and buttons in Discord, the same way they already use the server. No accounts, no downloads, no signups.

Pricing & Billing

$24.99 per year, per Discord server. That is the whole price list. It covers every feature and every coach in that server, however many you have.

If you run two separate leagues in two separate servers, that is two subscriptions.

No. One person — normally the commissioner — subscribes the server, and the whole league is covered. Your coaches are never asked for a card, an account, or anything else.

Add Tempo to your server, then run /activate in it. Tempo replies — privately, so only you see it — with a checkout link handled by Stripe. Pay, and that server is active.

The server owner, anyone with Manage Server, and league commissioners can run it. There are no activation codes to buy or redeem, and nothing to enter on this website. The install page walks through all four steps.

Your server activates automatically. You do not have to forward a receipt, paste a code, or message anyone. Go back to Discord and run /setup run to configure the league.

No. There is no Tempo account, no password and no dashboard. Your Discord server is the account. This website is documentation and nothing else — you never sign into it.

Yes, at any time. Run /activate again in your server: once a league is active, the command hands you a Manage Subscription button that opens Stripe's billing portal, where you can cancel or change the card.

Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not cut the season short. Your league keeps every feature until the end of the year you have already paid for.

We do not refund the unused part of a year except where consumer law where you live requires it. If you are stuck, ask in the Tempo support server.

Your league data is not deleted when a subscription lapses. Teams, point balances, upgrade history and rivalry records stay as they are. Tempo's commands stop working for that server until it is active again, and resubscribing picks up where you left off.

If you would rather have the data erased, ask and we will erase it — see the Privacy Policy.

Running a League

Yes, and most do. Points, upgrades, drafts, Game of the Week, rivalries, schedules, the rulebook and the open teams board can each be switched off from setup. A disabled feature's commands stop appearing in the command picker, so your coaches never see options that do nothing.

Core things — setup, teams and profiles — always stay on, because turning them off would lock you out of the tool that turns everything back on.

Yes. You set what points are worth, what an upgrade costs, and which attributes coaches can spend on. You can use the default attribute set or define your own list. If your league doesn't run an economy at all, turn points off and the upgrade system goes with it.

That is the normal case. Tempo does not restructure your server or require a specific channel layout. During setup you point it at the channels you already have. It creates one Discord role per team as coaches are assigned, and nothing else.

Your league carries over. Teams, coaches, point balances, rivalry records and upgrade history stay where they are. When you're ready for a new season you can release teams, reopen the board, and run a fresh draft without wiping anything you want to keep.

Setup & Access

Use the Add Tempo to Discord link, pick your server on Discord's own authorization screen, and confirm. You need permission to add apps to that server — normally Manage Server.

Then run /activate to subscribe the server, and /setup run to configure the league. The install page has all four steps.

Eight, and the authorization screen lists all of them: View Channels, Send Messages, Send Messages in Threads and Embed Links so it can post; Read Message History so its buttons keep working on older messages; Manage Roles so it can create and apply team roles; Manage Nicknames so it can tag a coach with the team they took; and Manage Messages so /clear can tidy a channel. It also uses the Server Members intent to react when coaches join or leave.

Tempo does not need Discord Administrator, and you should not give it to any bot that doesn't ask. Commissioner access is granted through roles you name during setup.

Discord IDs and the league information your commissioners type in: team assignments, point balances, upgrade requests, rivalry records and your settings. Not message content, not usernames, not anything from other servers.

Payment details go to Stripe and never reach us. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.

No. Tempo cannot read your direct messages, and Discord does not give any bot that ability. It only sees messages and commands in servers it has been added to.

Its commands and buttons stop working, and your server is otherwise unchanged. The team roles it created stay until you delete them. If you add Tempo back, your league configuration is still there.

Removing the bot does not cancel a subscription on its own. If you are done, cancel first — run /activate while Tempo is still in the server and use the Manage Subscription button — or you will renew for a league that isn't running.

Through the Tempo support server, where you can report a problem or ask a setup question.

Ready when you are.

$24.99 per year, per server. Add Tempo, run /activate, and see how it feels.
