Four steps to a running league.

Tempo installs like any other Discord bot. You do not create a Tempo account, move your league, or touch anything outside Discord. The four steps below are the same for both sports. Only the bot you add in step 01 is different.

Add Tempo to your server

Pick the bot for your sport: Tempo Football for College Football and Madden, Tempo Hoops for NBA 2K. They are separate Discord applications, so add the one you actually need. A subscription to one does not unlock the other.

The button opens Discord's own authorization screen. Pick the server your league runs in and confirm. You need permission to add apps to that server, normally Manage Server, so if you are not the owner, the owner may have to do this step for you.

That screen asks for eight permissions, and Discord Administrator is not one of them. The FAQ lists every one and what it is for.

Adding the bot is free. Nothing is charged at this step.

Run /activate

Type /activate in your server. Tempo replies with a checkout link handled by Stripe: $24.99 for the year, for the whole server. The reply is private, so only the person who ran the command sees it, and your card details never reach us.

The checkout link already knows which server it is for, so when the payment clears your league activates on its own. There is no code to paste, no confirmation to forward, and nobody to email. Every coach is covered by the one subscription; your members never pay anything.

Run /setup run

One command opens a guided setup panel. It walks you through your league name, your sport, the channels Tempo should post in, which roles count as staff, and which features you actually want. You can close it and come back. Nothing is lost.

  • Seed all 134 FBS programs or all 32 Madden teams in one step
  • Realign conferences to match your league, not real life
  • Point Tempo at the channels you already have
  • Switch off what you don't run, and its commands leave the picker

Start running the league

Open the board with /team openall, then hand out programs with /team assign or let the draft do it. From there Tempo runs the draft, holds the points, queues the upgrade requests and posts the weekly deadline. Your coaches install nothing. They use slash commands and buttons in the server they are already sitting in.
