Tempo installs like any other Discord bot. You do not create a Tempo account, move your league, or set up anything outside Discord.

Add Tempo to your server

The button opens Discord's own authorization screen. Pick the server your league runs in and confirm. You need permission to add apps to that server — normally Manage Server — so if you are not the server owner, the owner may have to do this step.

What the permission screen will show: View Channels, Send Messages, Send Messages in Threads and Embed Links so Tempo can post; Read Message History so its buttons keep working on older messages; Manage Roles to create and hand out team roles; Manage Nicknames to tag a coach with the team they took; and Manage Messages so /clear can tidy a channel. Plus the Server Members intent, so it notices when coaches join or leave. No Administrator.

Adding the bot is free. Nothing is charged at this step.

Run /activate

Type /activate in your server. Tempo replies with a checkout link handled by Stripe — $24.99 for the year, for the whole server. The reply is private: only the person who ran the command sees it, and we never see or store your card details.

The checkout link already knows which server it is for, so when the payment clears your league activates on its own. There is no code to paste, no confirmation to forward, and nobody to email. Every coach is covered by the one subscription; your members never pay anything.

Who can run it: the server owner, anyone with Manage Server, or a league commissioner. Run /activate again any time afterwards and it hands you a Manage Subscription button into Stripe's billing portal — that is where you change the card or cancel.

Run /setup run

One command opens a guided setup panel. It walks you through your league name, your sport, the channels Tempo should post in, which roles count as staff, and which features you actually want. You can leave and come back — nothing is lost.

Start running the league

Assign teams with /team, post the open teams board, and let your coaches loose. From here Tempo handles the draft, the points, the upgrade approvals and the weekly posts. Your coaches install nothing — they use slash commands and buttons in the server they are already in.

Roughly an evening, end to end. Steps 01 and 02 take about two minutes. Step 03 is as long as you want to spend deciding how your league should work.

Before you start

Three things worth knowing.

    You keep your server

    Tempo works inside the server you already have. It does not need a fresh one, and it will not restructure your channels.

    Your coaches install nothing

    Members use slash commands and buttons in Discord. There is no account to create, no app to download, and nothing for them to pay.

    You can undo it

    Remove Tempo and your server is unchanged apart from the roles it made. Nothing about your league is held hostage.
